Helping Street Dogz and Street Catz of Las Vegas
It's the truth; the homeless love their pets, and the pets love them! Dogs don't care if they live in a tent or a mansion. They love the person whom they spend 24 hours, 7 days a week. They are not crated (not that crating is a bad thing) or left alone for 9 hours a day. They are doing what dogs love to do; walk. They walk all day, especially our favorite dog, the Traveler.
Voodoo (below) was at least 13 years old in this picture and we think, ready to live indoors. His human had him from a pup and carried him on his back just like this. Like Mike and Lucky below, these dogs only have eyes for their man ;)
Mike and Lucky (below) are a popular sight on the Las Vegas Strip and have been our friends since our beginning. There is no way you could ever separate these two.
Mike was in the hospital and asked us to bring Lucky to him. They were living in the Tunnels at the time, and when we got there and called out to the person to bring her up, she froze. Lucky did not want to leave the last place she saw Mike and knew he would return. Front legs stiff, she refused to climb the ladder out of the cold, wet tunnel to our arms above. She was not happy until she realized we were at the hospital, and Mike was behind the door.
Update: Mike Rice passed away July 8, 2021. His beloved Lucky was adopted by a friend, and Street Dogz team member, Brenda. Lucky is happy and doing very well.
Our Mission is to ensure that no pet is surrendered due to a lack of resources on the part of their human.
Because of your donation of money and supplies, Street Dogz and Street Catz have been able to Spay and Neuter more than 500 pets, provide medical services to more than 1,000 pets, temporarily house more than 90 humans and their pets and support them on their journey to homed status.
We have gone to extraordinary lengths to make sure pets remain with their humans, even in death.

None of this is possible without you, our community, and we thank you.
